This is a specialised international platform for communication and education, bringing together representatives from government bodies, the business sector, the academic community, architects, lighting designers, manufacturers of lighting equipment, educational institutions and young professionals to develop modern approaches to the development of the lighting environment in cities and public spaces.

The forum comprises four key areas: an intensive training programme on lighting design and urban environment design; strategic dialogue and the development of sectoral policy; an international expert platform for the exchange of best practice; and a competition programme to identify and support promising projects and young professionals.
